    Da Hong Pao, (Russian name:да хун пао) whose literal interpretation is the Big Red robes. It produced in Fujian Wuyishan, belong to Wuyi rock oolong tea. It's one of China's top ten tea.The tea has a higher mineral content than other teas, perhaps the reason it is considered a healthy drink that can maintain health, aid recuperation and bring longevity.
     
    Appearance:
    Traditional looking Oolong tea. Dark and slightly curled tea leaves.

    Big Red Robe, Scarlet Robe, Da hung pao
     
    It is a perfect choice for people who want to discover Wu Yi Rock Da Hong Pao teas, this high grade example is skillfully hand made from tender, leaves of similar size, curled and baked over charcoal to give a long lasting floral fragrance, a smooth rich and creamy flavour with a long sweet aftertaste.
     
     
    Records of its existence date as far back as the early 18th century. During Qing Dynasty, it was entitled "King of Tea". There is much folklore about this tea explaining the origins of its name and the extraordinary claims made about its health benefits, it was believed to cure all diseases.
     
    Taste:
    Full bodied tea with a sweet aftertaste that is felt in your throat before the back of your tongue. After a few small Gong Fu cups, the pleasant floral fragrance remains in your mouth, lingering for a good few minutes. Not many tea has the ability to do this.
     
    Aroma: Baked soft fruit and a smooth buttery aroma

    Good flavor, and lasts many infusions! This tea has a very distinct aroma when steeped which I love in an Oolong. This is a great Da Hong Pao tea, its really quite special.

    Subtle wuyi rock taste! It's also a complex and interesting cup with a slight smokiness, but the mineral flavors are very prominent.
