    Chrysanthemum Tea is one of China’s most famous herb tea which producted in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. The Chinese name is Hangbaiju.
     
    Although typically prepared at home, it is also available as a beverage in many Asian restaurants (particularly Chinese ones), and is also available from various drinks outlets in East Asia as well as Asian grocery stores outside Asia in canned or packed form.
     
    Modern analysis shows that this tea contains choline, vitamin A, B1, glycosides, adenine, amino acids, flavonoid, volatile oil, etc. It energizes all the senses in a jiffy and also calms them down for better and clear perception. 
    It is said to have inhibiting effect on bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus hemolyticus B, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Shigella dysenteriae, tubercle bacillus and dermatomycosis.
     
    Furthermore, the tea is known for its stimulating properties and is thus used to refresh the brain and alert the senses.  Finally, the benefits of drinking this tea includes soothing sore throats and helping to cure red/itchy eyes, dry, fluid-deficient eyes, and dark spots in the eye region.
     
    This tea might also be effective in treating eye problems, including improving the sight acuity of those who have faltering vision. Herbs 2000 reports that it have a long history of being used to treat blurred vision, spotty vision and watering eyes. Try sipping on this tea if you have sore, dry or red eyes from reading a lot or from working at a computer for long stretches of time.
     
    Appearance:
    Flowers are medium loose and light. The color is ivory white. Cores are in yellow color.
    Beautiful dried flowers. The color of the flowers turn white upon infusion.
     
    Taste:
    Tea is very refreshing with a natural sweet fragrance and taste. Compared to other teas, this tea has a certain smooth and almost creamy-like mouth feel. Try brewing it with some rock sugar for additional sweetness. Serves well hot or cold.
     
    To prepare the tea, chrysanthemum flowers (usually dried) are steeped in hot water (usually 175-190°F(80-90°C) after cooling from a boil)
