Lapsang Souchong Tea was invented in the 18th century, which is the first black tea in history. The tea is grown in Wuyishan City, Fujian Province, that is the place of origin protection. It was Sir Winston Churchill's preferred tea.

The tea is also known as Souchong, is a black tea is produced in China. This tea is made with smoked pine needles or pine wood ,so it has a wonderful flavor. Because of the the reason for smoked, tea is black, but the tea soup is dark red.

Clean and slightly cool smokiness in the aroma, like menthol. Sweet, refreshing smoky flavor, crisp and edgy. Drink it alone, or add a spoonful to other black teas to lend them a hint of its aromatic flavour.

    The origin of tea:
As we know, there is no black tea in the world before. During the Qing dynasty about 200 years ago, an China army unit passing through a village camped out in its tea factory, which was filled with fresh leaves awaiting processing. When the soldiers left and the workers were able to return, there was not enough time to dry the tea the customary way. So they lit open fires of pine wood to hasten the drying. Upon taking the tea to market, to their surprise the new tea created a sensation.
